Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 22, 2026

Summary

DupeLens does not collect, sell, rent, or share personal data. Photo analysis happens on your device.

Photos access

DupeLens asks for access to your Photos library so it can read photo thumbnails and metadata, detect exact duplicate and similar photo groups, display thumbnails for review, and move photos you confirm to Recently Deleted in Photos.

DupeLens does not upload your photos to a server.

Data collection

DupeLens does not collect user data. DupeLens does not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, crash reporting SDKs, or tracking technologies.

Network use

DupeLens does not operate a backend service and does not send photo content or metadata to external servers.

If your library uses iCloud Photos, Apple's Photos framework may download thumbnails from iCloud when you view items that are not stored locally on your device. DupeLens does not receive or control your iCloud account data.

Deletion

When you confirm a delete action, DupeLens asks Photos to move the selected items to the Recently Deleted album. You can recover those items in Photos until Apple permanently removes them according to Photos' retention behavior.

Children

DupeLens is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect data from children.
