Overview

Recall ("the App") is a flashcard and spaced repetition learning app for iOS. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Data you create

Decks, cards (front/back text), and study progress are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is synced to your private iCloud account via CloudKit if you are signed into iCloud. We have no access to this data — it is stored in your personal iCloud container and governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Data we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information.
• We do not use analytics, crash reporting services, or advertising SDKs.
• We do not track your usage or behavior.
• We do not share any data with third parties.

Local Notifications

If you enable the daily reminder, the App schedules a local notification on your device. This is processed entirely on-device by iOS — no notification data is sent to any server.

iCloud Sync

Sync is handled entirely by Apple's CloudKit framework using your personal iCloud account. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. We cannot access, view, or retrieve any data stored in your iCloud container.

Children's Privacy

Recall does not knowingly collect any data from users of any age. As we collect no personal data, the App is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
