Data Collection

CashClose does not require an account. CashClose does not operate a server that receives your cash count content.

Data Stored On Device

The app stores saved cash count sessions locally on the user's device and may sync them through the user's private Apple iCloud/CloudKit account when iCloud is available. A saved session may include cash drawer name, staff name, note text, selected currency, denomination counts, expected cash, actual cash, variance, and date.

Anonymous Usage Analytics

CashClose uses TelemetryDeck, a service provided by TelemetryDeck GmbH, and the owner's Eventrail service to understand whether core workflows and purchase flows work as intended. They receive privacy-minimized product-interaction events, pseudonymous installation identifiers, limited purchase-state events, limited diagnostic error codes, and technical app/device metadata.

CashClose does not configure either service with your name, email address, Apple account, advertising identifier, or an identifier copied from another app. Eventrail uses a random installation identifier and a new random foreground-session identifier; it replaces the installation identifier with a one-way salted hash before storage. Analytics is used only for product analytics, not advertising or cross-company tracking, and is not intended to identify you.

Cash values, selected currency, denomination values or quantities, drawer and staff names, notes, search text, and exported or shared content are never included in CashClose analytics events. Counts used for conversion analysis are reduced to broad ranges.

TelemetryDeck processes analytics data on its servers under its privacy terms. Eventrail runs in the owner's Cloudflare account, retains raw privacy-minimized events for 180 days, and retains daily aggregates for up to 730 days.

Network Use

The core cash counting workflow works without network access. Eventrail events are first stored in a limited on-device queue and retried when connectivity returns. TelemetryDeck may also buffer analytics according to its SDK behavior. Purchases and purchase restoration are handled by Apple StoreKit.
